Henry II of Jerusalem
Henry II of Jerusalem was a king who ruled from 1174 to 1185. He was born in 1133 and was a member of the House of Anjou. Henry became king after the death of his father, Baldwin IV, who suffered from leprosy. His reign was marked by challenges, including conflicts with Muslim forces led by Saladin.
During his rule, Henry II worked to strengthen the defenses of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. He faced internal strife and external threats, particularly from Saladin, who sought to reclaim Jerusalem. Henry's efforts to maintain stability were crucial during a turbulent period in the history of the Crusader states.
