Iraqi National Congress
The Iraqi National Congress (INC) is a political organization founded in 1992 by a group of Iraqi exiles, including Ahmad Chalabi. Its primary goal was to unite various opposition groups against the regime of Saddam Hussein and promote democracy in Iraq. The INC aimed to provide a platform for political dialogue and to advocate for the rights of the Iraqi people.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the INC gained support from the United States and other countries, especially during the lead-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. After the fall of Saddam Hussein, the INC played a role in the transitional government, although its influence has fluctuated over the years.
