Iraqi National Accord
The Iraqi National Accord is a political coalition formed in 1990 by various Iraqi opposition groups, primarily aimed at overthrowing the regime of Saddam Hussein. It sought to unite different factions, including Shiite and Sunni groups, to promote democracy and stability in Iraq.
The coalition gained prominence during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, which led to the fall of Hussein's government. After the invasion, the Iraqi National Accord participated in the political process, advocating for a democratic system and the establishment of a new government that represented the diverse interests of the Iraqi population.
