Iran's Nuclear Program
Iran's Nuclear Program began in the 1950s with the help of the United States under the Atoms for Peace initiative. The program aims to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, such as energy production. However, concerns arose when Iran enriched uranium, which can also be used for nuclear weapons.
International negotiations, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2015, sought to limit Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. Despite these efforts, tensions remain, with various countries, including Israel and the United States, expressing concerns about the potential for nuclear weapon development.
