Baldwin IV
Baldwin IV was a medieval king of Jerusalem, ruling from 1174 to 1185. He became king at a young age after the death of his father, Baldwin III. Known as the "Leper King," he suffered from leprosy, which affected his health and ability to govern.
Despite his illness, Baldwin IV was a skilled military leader. He successfully defended his kingdom against Saladin, the Muslim leader who sought to reclaim Jerusalem. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and external threats, but he is remembered for his bravery and determination in the face of adversity.
