Henriette of England
Henriette of England, born in 1644, was the youngest daughter of King Charles I of England and Henrietta Maria of France. She was a member of the royal family during a tumultuous period in English history, marked by the English Civil War and the eventual execution of her father in 1649. Henriette spent much of her early life in exile in France.
In 1661, Henriette married Philippe I, Duke of Orléans, the brother of King Louis XIV of France. This marriage strengthened ties between the English and French royal families. Henriette became known for her charm and intelligence, playing a significant role in the French court until her untimely death in 1670.
