The Great Mosque of Al-Nuri is a historic mosque located in Mosul, Iraq. In June 2017, the mosque was destroyed during the battle against ISIS, marking a tragic loss of cultural heritage. Efforts are underway to restore the mosque and its minaret, reflecting the importance of preserving historical sites for future generations.
