Government of Catalonia
The Government of Catalonia, known as the Generalitat de Catalunya, is the executive authority of the Catalonia region in Spain. It is responsible for managing various public services, including education, health, and transportation, and operates under the framework of the Statute of Autonomy.
The Generalitat is led by the President of Catalonia and consists of several departments that oversee different areas of governance. It was established in 1931 and has evolved over the years, especially following the Spanish Constitution of 1978, which granted greater autonomy to regions like Catalonia.
