Spanish Government
The Spanish Government is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy, meaning it has a king and a parliament that makes laws. The current king is King Felipe VI, who has a ceremonial role, while the real power lies with the Prime Minister, who leads the government. The parliament consists of two chambers: the Congress of Deputies and the Senate.
Spain is divided into 17 autonomous communities, each with its own government and varying degrees of legislative power. The Spanish Constitution of 1978 established the framework for the government and guarantees fundamental rights for its citizens.
