Geography of India
India is located in South Asia and is the seventh-largest country in the world by land area. It is bordered by Pakistan to the northwest, China and Nepal to the north, and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. The country is surrounded by the Indian Ocean to the south, which includes the Arabian Sea to the southwest and the Bay of Bengal to the southeast.
The diverse geography of India includes the Himalayas in the north, which are the highest mountain range in the world. The central region features the Deccan Plateau, while the northern plains are fertile and support agriculture. India also has deserts, such as the Thar Desert, and numerous rivers, including the Ganges and Indus.
