Feldenkrais
Feldenkrais is a movement-based educational method developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. It focuses on improving physical function and self-awareness through gentle, mindful movements. The practice aims to enhance coordination, flexibility, and overall well-being by helping individuals recognize and change habitual patterns of movement.
The method is typically taught in two formats: Awareness Through Movement (ATM) classes, where participants follow verbal instructions, and Functional Integration (FI) sessions, which involve one-on-one hands-on guidance. Both approaches encourage exploration of movement, promoting a deeper understanding of the body and its capabilities.
