Emperor Quang Trung
Emperor Quang Trung, born Nguyen Hue, was a prominent leader of Vietnam during the late 18th century. He is best known for his role in the Tay Son Rebellion, which successfully overthrew the Trịnh Lords and the Nguyễn Lords, unifying Vietnam under his rule. Quang Trung became emperor in 1788 and is celebrated for his military prowess and efforts to modernize the country.
Quang Trung's reign, though brief, was marked by significant reforms in governance, agriculture, and education. He is also remembered for his victory against the invading Qing Dynasty forces in 1789, which solidified his legacy as a national hero. His leadership inspired future generations in Vietnam.
