Education in Japan
Education in Japan is highly structured and compulsory for children aged 6 to 15. The system consists of six years of elementary school, three years of junior high school, and three years of high school. Most students continue to high school, and many pursue higher education at universities or vocational schools.
The school year in Japan starts in April and is divided into three terms. Students typically attend classes from Monday to Friday, with some schools holding Saturday classes. Emphasis is placed on discipline, respect, and academic achievement, with a strong focus on subjects like mathematics, science, and Japanese language.
