Dura-Europos
Dura-Europos was an ancient city located on the banks of the Euphrates River in modern-day Syria. The city is notable for its well-preserved archaeological remains, including residential buildings, temples, and a unique synagogue.
The site is particularly famous for its extensive wall paintings and the Dura-Europos Synagogue, which is one of the oldest known synagogues in the world.
