Duchess Charlotte of Saxe-Hildburghausen
Duchess Charlotte of Saxe-Hildburghausen was born on December 19, 1731, in Hildburghausen, Germany. She was a member of the House of Saxe-Hildburghausen and became known for her marriage to Duke Ernst I of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld in 1749. This union strengthened ties between the two duchies.
Charlotte was the mother of several children, including Duke Ernst II of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Throughout her life, she played a significant role in the cultural and social life of her court. She passed away on March 18, 1816, leaving a legacy through her descendants.
