Saxe-Hildburghausen
Saxe-Hildburghausen was a historical duchy located in what is now modern-day Germany. It was part of the larger region of Saxony and existed from the early 18th century until the early 19th century. The duchy was known for its picturesque landscapes and small towns, with Hildburghausen serving as its capital.
The duchy was established in 1735 and was ruled by the House of Saxe-Hildburghausen. In 1826, it was merged into the larger Duchy of Saxe-Meiningen, marking the end of its independent status. Today, the legacy of Saxe-Hildburghausen can be seen in its historical architecture and cultural heritage.
