Divine Nine
The "Divine Nine" refers to the nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations that are part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). These organizations were founded to provide support, community, and advocacy for African American students in higher education. Each organization has its own unique history, values, and mission, contributing to the rich legacy of Black Greek life in the United States.
The Divine Nine includes Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Iota Phi Theta. Together, they promote scholarship, service, and social justice, fostering leadership and empowerment within their communities.
