Omega Psi Phi
Omega Psi Phi is a historically Black fraternity founded on November 17, 1911, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. It was established by three undergraduate students: Bennett College, Howard University, and Omega Psi Phi. The fraternity emphasizes the principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift, and it is known for its commitment to community service and social justice.
The fraternity's official colors are royal purple and gold, and its symbol is the dog. Omega Psi Phi is part of the Divine Nine, a group of nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations. The fraternity has a rich history of notable members, including civil rights leaders, politicians, and athletes.
