Decathletes
A decathlete is an athlete who competes in the decathlon, a track and field event that consists of ten different disciplines. These events include sprint, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400 meters, 110-meter hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, and 1500 meters. Decathletes must demonstrate versatility and endurance, as they are required to excel in both speed and strength events.
The decathlon is typically held over two days, with athletes accumulating points based on their performance in each event. The athlete with the highest total points at the end of the competition is declared the winner. Decathletes often train extensively to develop a wide range of skills, making them some of the most well-rounded athletes in the world.
