Cochimi people
The Cochimi people are an indigenous group from the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. Historically, they inhabited the region around the Gulf of California and were known for their fishing and gathering practices. Their culture was influenced by the surrounding environment, which provided resources for their sustenance.
Today, the Cochimi population has significantly decreased, and many of their traditional practices have diminished. Efforts are being made to preserve their language and cultural heritage, as well as to recognize their historical significance in the region. The Cochimi are part of the broader narrative of indigenous peoples in North America.
