Cochimi Language
The Cochimi language is an indigenous language that was historically spoken by the Cochimi people in the Baja California region of Mexico. It belongs to the Yuman language family and is characterized by its unique phonetic and grammatical structures. The language has faced significant decline, with very few speakers remaining today.
Efforts have been made to document and revitalize the Cochimi language, but it is considered critically endangered. Linguists and cultural advocates are working to preserve its heritage and promote awareness of the Cochimi culture and its linguistic significance.
