Client State
A client state is a country that relies on another more powerful country for its political, military, or economic support. This relationship often involves the client state aligning its policies with the interests of the more powerful nation, which may provide aid, protection, or other forms of assistance.
Client states can be found throughout history and are often influenced by larger powers during conflicts or geopolitical struggles. Examples include countries that were aligned with the United States during the Cold War or those that depend on China for economic support today.
