Celtic history
Celtic history refers to the cultural and historical development of the Celtic peoples, who originated in Central Europe around 1200 BCE. They spread across Western Europe, including regions like Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and parts of France and Spain. The Celts were known for their unique languages, art, and social structures, which included tribal societies.
During the Iron Age, the Celts established various kingdoms and were skilled in metalwork and agriculture. They faced invasions from the Roman Empire and later experienced significant changes due to Christianity and the rise of Anglo-Saxon influence. Despite these challenges, Celtic culture has persisted and continues to influence modern societies.
