The term "Bourbon-Sicily" refers to the historical kingdom that existed from 1734 to 1860, encompassing the island of Sicily and parts of southern Italy. It was ruled by the House of Bourbon, a royal family originally from France. The kingdom was established when Charles III of Spain conquered Sicily and later became King of the Two Sicilies.
