Bodo Liberation Tigers Force
The Bodo Liberation Tigers Force (BLTF) is a militant organization that was formed in the late 1980s in the northeastern region of India, particularly in the state of Assam. The group aims to establish a separate state for the Bodo people, an indigenous ethnic community in the area, due to perceived neglect and discrimination by the Indian government.
The BLTF was involved in various violent activities and conflicts with security forces, leading to significant unrest in Assam. In 2005, the group signed a ceasefire agreement with the government, which eventually led to the formation of the Bodoland Territorial Region to address the demands of the Bodo community.
