Insurgent Groups
Insurgent groups are organized factions that use armed conflict to challenge established authorities, often in pursuit of political, social, or economic goals. These groups typically operate in regions where the government is perceived as weak or illegitimate, and they may employ guerrilla tactics to gain control over territory or influence local populations.
Insurgents often emerge in response to grievances such as oppression, inequality, or foreign intervention. They may seek to establish a new government or change existing policies. Examples of insurgent groups include the Taliban in Afghanistan and the FARC in Colombia, each with distinct motivations and methods.
