Birendra of Nepal
Birendra of Nepal was the King of Nepal from 1972 until his tragic death in 2001. He was born on December 29, 1945, and was known for his dedication to the welfare of his people and efforts to modernize the country. King Birendra played a significant role in promoting democracy and was respected for his commitment to peace and stability in the region.
His reign ended abruptly when he and several members of the royal family were killed in a shooting incident at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace. Following his death, his son, Dipendra of Nepal, ascended to the throne, marking a significant transition in the Nepalese monarchy.
