Big Wild Goose Pagoda
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a historic Buddhist pagoda located in Xi'an, China. Built in 652 AD during the Tang Dynasty, it was originally constructed to house sacred Buddhist texts and relics brought back from India by the monk Xuanzang. The pagoda stands at 64 meters tall and features a square base with seven stories, showcasing traditional Chinese architectural style.
The pagoda is part of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda complex, which includes several temples and gardens. It has become a symbol of Xi'an and a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors interested in history, architecture, and Buddhism. The site is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
