Augusta of Saxe-Gotha was a German princess born on November 30, 1719. She was the daughter of Frederick II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Maria Antonia of Saxe-Weimar. Augusta became the Duchess of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg through her marriage to Ernest II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg in 1736.
