Amalric I of Jerusalem
Amalric I of Jerusalem was a king who ruled from 1163 to 1174. He was the son of Baldwin IV, the leper king, and became known for his military campaigns against the Muslim forces in the region. Amalric expanded the territory of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and strengthened its defenses.
During his reign, Amalric faced challenges from powerful leaders like Saladin, who sought to unite the Muslim world against the Crusader states. Despite his efforts to maintain peace and stability, tensions escalated, leading to conflicts that would shape the future of the region.
