Al-Hadba
Al-Hadba is a prominent minaret located in Mosul, Iraq. It is part of the Great Mosque of al-Nuri, which was built in the 12th century. The minaret is known for its unique leaning structure, which gives it the nickname "the hunchback."
The minaret stands approximately 45 meters tall and features intricate brickwork and decorative patterns. It has significant historical and cultural importance, symbolizing the architectural heritage of Islamic civilization in the region. Unfortunately, Al-Hadba was severely damaged in 2017 during the conflict with ISIS, leading to concerns about the preservation of this iconic landmark.
