明朝
The 明朝 (Ming Dynasty) was a Chinese dynasty that ruled from 1368 to 1644. It was established by 朱元璋, who became the first emperor, known as 明太祖. The dynasty is known for its cultural and economic prosperity, as well as advancements in arts, literature, and technology.
During the 明朝, China saw the construction of the famous 紫禁城 (Forbidden City) in 北京 (Beijing) and the voyages of 郑和 (Zheng He) to foreign lands. The dynasty ended when it faced internal strife and external invasions, leading to the rise of the 清朝 (Qing Dynasty).
