one-arm push-up
The one-arm push-up is a challenging variation of the traditional push-up that requires significant upper body strength and stability. In this exercise, the individual performs a push-up using only one arm while the other arm is placed behind the back or extended out to the side. This movement engages the chest, shoulders, triceps, and core muscles more intensely than a standard push-up.
To perform a one-arm push-up, start in a plank position with your feet shoulder-width apart for balance. Shift your weight onto one arm, keeping your body straight from head to heels. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the ground, then push back up to the starting position. Proper form is essential to avoid injury and maximize effectiveness.
