kubotans
A kubotan is a small, handheld self-defense tool, typically made of plastic or metal, that resembles a keychain. It is about 5 to 6 inches long and is designed to be used for striking or applying pressure to sensitive areas of an attacker's body. The kubotan can also be used to enhance grip on keys or other items.
Originally developed in the 1960s by Kobudo master Takayuki Kubota, the kubotan is often used in martial arts training. It is popular among law enforcement and security personnel for its practicality and ease of use. While it is not a lethal weapon, it can be effective for personal protection.
