kubotan
A kubotan is a small, handheld self-defense tool, typically made of plastic or metal, that resembles a keychain. It is about 5 to 6 inches long and is designed to be used for striking or applying pressure to sensitive areas of an attacker's body. The kubotan can also be attached to a keyring, making it easily accessible.
Originally developed in the 1960s by Kobudo master Takayuki Kubota, the kubotan is often used in martial arts training and self-defense classes. Its simplicity and effectiveness make it a popular choice for personal safety, allowing individuals to defend themselves without requiring extensive training.
