incline push-up
The incline push-up is a variation of the traditional push-up that targets the upper body, particularly the chest, shoulders, and triceps. In this exercise, the hands are placed on an elevated surface, such as a bench or a sturdy table, while the feet remain on the ground. This position reduces the amount of body weight being lifted, making it easier for beginners or those with limited upper body strength.
To perform an incline push-up, start by standing in front of the elevated surface and placing your hands shoulder-width apart. Keep your body straight from head to heels, and lower your chest towards the surface by bending your elbows. Push back up to the starting position to complete one repetition. This exercise can be modified by adjusting the height of the incline to increase or decrease difficulty.
