hypospadias
Hypospadias is a congenital condition in which the opening of the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis. Instead, the urethral opening can be found on the underside of the penis, which can vary in position from just below the tip to further down the shaft or even at the base.
This condition affects males and is usually diagnosed at birth. Treatment often involves surgery to correct the position of the urethral opening, typically performed when the child is between 6 and 18 months old. Early intervention can help improve function and appearance.
