Yun Bong-gil
Yun Bong-gil was a prominent Korean independence activist born on June 21, 1900, in Jinju, South Korea. He is best known for his courageous act of throwing a bomb at a Japanese military parade in 1920, which aimed to protest against the Japanese occupation of Korea. This act of defiance made him a symbol of resistance for many Koreans.
After his arrest, Yun Bong-gil was sentenced to death, but his actions inspired a generation of activists. He was executed on April 29, 1944, and is remembered as a national hero in South Korea for his dedication to the country's independence.
