Yugoslav royal family
The Yugoslav royal family was the ruling dynasty of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which existed from 1918 until 1945. The family was originally from the House of Karađorđević, founded by Karageorge, a leader in the First Serbian Uprising. The royal family played a significant role in the country's formation after World War I, uniting various South Slavic nations.
After World War II, the monarchy was abolished, and the family went into exile. The last king, King Peter II, was a child when he fled. Today, the family remains active in cultural and charitable endeavors, with descendants living in various countries.
