XXV Dynasty
The XXV Dynasty of ancient Egypt, also known as the Nubian Dynasty, lasted from 747 to 656 BCE. It was characterized by the rule of pharaohs from Kush, a region located to the south of Egypt. This dynasty is notable for its efforts to restore traditional Egyptian culture and religious practices, as well as for its monumental architecture.
Pharaohs such as Piye and Taharqa were significant figures during this period, expanding Egypt's territory and influence. The XXV Dynasty ended with the Assyrian invasion, which led to the decline of Nubian power in Egypt and the rise of the Saite Dynasty.
