Nubian Pharaohs
The Nubian Pharaohs were rulers from the ancient region of Nubia, located to the south of Egypt. They established the Kushite Dynasty and ruled over Egypt during the 25th Dynasty, around 747 to 656 BCE. These pharaohs are known for their significant contributions to art, architecture, and culture, blending Nubian and Egyptian traditions.
The most famous of the Nubian Pharaohs is Piye, who successfully conquered Egypt and united the two regions. The Nubian Pharaohs built impressive pyramids in Nubia, which served as royal tombs, showcasing their wealth and power. Their reign marked a period of cultural exchange and prosperity in the region.
