William Keith, 5th Earl Marischal
William Keith, 5th Earl Marischal (c. 1690–1778) was a Scottish nobleman known for his role in the {Jacobite} uprisings. He was a prominent supporter of the {Jacobite cause}, which sought to restore the {Stuart} monarchy to the British throne. His loyalty to the Jacobite movement led him to fight in the {Battle of Culloden} in 1746.
After the defeat of the Jacobites, Keith fled to {France} and later settled in {Sweden}. He was recognized for his military service and held various positions in the {Swedish army}. Despite his exile, he remained a significant figure in Scottish history and the Jacobite legacy.
