Wilhelm II, German Emperor
Wilhelm II, German Emperor, ruled from 1888 until his abdication in 1918. He was the last emperor of the German Empire and a key figure during World War I. His reign was marked by militarism and a desire for a more aggressive foreign policy, which contributed to rising tensions in Europe.
Born on January 27, 1859, Wilhelm II was the son of Frederick III and Victoria, Princess Royal. He was known for his strong personality and erratic leadership style. After Germany's defeat in the war, he fled to the Netherlands, where he lived in exile until his death in 1941.
