Warm-up
A warm-up is a series of gentle exercises or movements performed before engaging in more intense physical activity. The primary purpose of a warm-up is to prepare the body for exercise by gradually increasing heart rate, blood flow, and muscle temperature. This helps reduce the risk of injury and improves overall performance.
Typically, a warm-up lasts about 5 to 10 minutes and may include activities like light jogging, dynamic stretching, or mobility exercises. These activities help loosen the muscles and joints, making them more flexible and ready for the demands of the workout or sport that follows.
