Viktor Patsayev
Viktor Patsayev was a Soviet cosmonaut born on January 19, 1933, in Krasnodar, Russia. He became known for his contributions to the Soviet space program during the 1960s. Patsayev flew on the Soyuz 10 mission in 1971, which aimed to dock with the Salyut 1 space station.
Tragically, Viktor Patsayev died on June 30, 1971, during the Soyuz 11 mission. The mission was intended to study life aboard a space station, but a cabin depressurization led to the loss of all three crew members. Patsayev is remembered for his bravery and dedication to space exploration.
