Vallabhi
Vallabhi was an ancient city located in the region of present-day Gujarat, India. It served as a significant center for trade and culture during the early medieval period, particularly between the 6th and 8th centuries. Vallabhi was known for its prosperous economy and was a hub for scholars and artisans, contributing to the rich heritage of Buddhism and Jainism in the area.
The city was also the capital of the Maitraka dynasty, which played a crucial role in the political landscape of western India. Vallabhi is often associated with the famous Vallabha Acharya, a prominent philosopher and founder of the Pushtimarg sect, who emphasized devotion and love for Krishna.
