Vallabha Acharya
Vallabha Acharya was a prominent Indian philosopher and theologian, born in 1479 in Vallabhi, Gujarat. He is best known for founding the Pushtimarg sect, which emphasizes devotion to Lord Krishna. Vallabha Acharya taught that divine grace is essential for attaining spiritual liberation and promoted a path of loving devotion.
He authored several important texts, including the Subodhini and Aniruddha, which elaborate on his philosophical ideas. Vallabha Acharya's teachings focus on the concept of Suddhadvaita, or pure non-dualism, which asserts that the soul and God are distinct yet inseparable. His influence continues to be felt in the devotional traditions of Hinduism.
