Václav I
Václav I, also known as Wenceslaus I, was the Duke of Bohemia from 921 until his death in 935. He is remembered for his efforts to strengthen the Christian faith in the region and for promoting peace and stability. His reign is often associated with the early development of the Czech state.
Václav I was later canonized as a saint, becoming the patron saint of Bohemia. His legacy is celebrated in Czech culture, particularly on September 28, which is observed as a public holiday in the Czech Republic, honoring his contributions to the nation and Christianity.
