Tsar Michael I
Tsar Michael I was the first ruler of the Romanov dynasty in Russia, ascending to the throne in 1613. He became Tsar after a period of political turmoil known as the Time of Troubles, which followed the death of the last Rurik dynasty ruler. Michael's election marked the beginning of a new era for Russia, as he worked to stabilize the country and restore order.
During his reign, which lasted until 1645, Michael I focused on rebuilding the economy and strengthening the central authority of the monarchy. He also dealt with various conflicts, including wars with Poland and Sweden. His leadership laid the groundwork for the future expansion and modernization of the Russian state.
