Therese of Bavaria
Therese of Bavaria was a German princess born on May 9, 1850, in Munich. She was the daughter of King Maximilian II of Bavaria and Queen Marie of Bavaria. Therese became known for her charitable work and dedication to social causes, particularly in education and healthcare.
In 1872, she married Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, strengthening ties between the Bavarian and Saxe-Coburg families. Therese's life was marked by her commitment to public service, and she played a significant role in various philanthropic initiatives until her death on 30 March 1925.
